Frequently Asked Questions

How long should I let my brows grow before my first visit?

At Couture we recommend you grow out your brows for at least 4 weeks before coming in.

What is a Lash Lift?

A eyelash lifting technique where your natural lashes will be placed on semi circular rods and then set in an upward position to give you longer looking lashes without the need for extensions. You can finally ditch that eyelash curler for up to 2 months! A add on lash tint service, will make them more prominent and allow you to wake up with a mascara look that lasts up to 3 weeks. These services will instantly give your eye a open, lifted appearance.

How do I prep for this treatment?

Arrive to your appointment completely make up FREE and prepared to remove your contacts or glasses.

What are the aftercare instructions?

There are 3 little rules to follow for the first 24 hours after your service.  No mascara (only Elleevate mascara can be used).  No extreme heat ( hot showers, hot yoga, Jacuzzi or sauna sessions ) and lastly, do not get them wet.   QUICK TIP:  Sleep on your back the night of your night of treatment as much as possible!

Is there any maintenance?

No, that’s the major perk of our services. We even advise you to discontinue using any eyelash curlers because they may weaken and damage your lashes.

Is there any maintenance for tinting?

Yes, avoid touching, washing or rubbing your eyes, eye lashes, or eyebrows immediately after the treatment.  Avoid washing lashes or brows daily, wash around them.  Avoid exfoliating facial cleansers.  Try to Use oil free products around the eye area or plain water.

Will a Lash Lift damage my eyelashes?

No, the lifting solutions are applied to the new growth area of the lashes only and never to the ends. In addition, our system is also infused with built in conditioners that are treating your lashes during the entire lifting process.

How long does this treatment take?

A Lash Lift alone usually takes 1 hour and with tint about 1 hour 30 minutes.

Does the Lash Lift procedure hurt?

No,  the procedure is totally painless. Your eyes will be closed for the entire treatment and you will be reclined back in a comfortable position.  It may feel a little strange but it's very relaxing and some of our clients even get in a quick nap.

Can I still use Latisse?

Yes, but it should not be applied 24 hours before or after treatment.

Will I have a reaction?

Very few people have a reaction to this service because it never touches the skin during the process, but can cause a little redness around the eye during the removal process. You can opt to have a patch test 24 hours beforehand if you like. It’s a quick process that consists of placing 2 drops of lotion behind the ear for 15 minutes. I will then wipe it off and we will see if any redness, itching, or inflammation occur over the next 24 hours.

I have short lashes, am I able to get a Lash Lift?

Yes, it’s great for any length lashes as long as they can fit on a rod. But. of course longer lashes result in more dramatic results.

Who is this treatment NOT good for?

Clients with chronic dry eye, conjunctivitis, damaged lashes or lashes with gaps, active eye infections, trichotillomania (habitual pulling out of lashes), recent chemo treatments (you will need to wait a year after your last treatment), eye stye, recent eye surgery, pregnancy( 1st trimester), and Thyroxin medication (can prevent lashes from curling).  Please consult with your physician when in doubt.
